Obtaining the Unobtainable: A SC2 Beta Key

My name is Ashley. I'm a 19 year old female currently attending CSULB in California. When I graduate, I hope to go into 3D Graphics Design or something in that general field. I'm 5'7, a brunette, somewhat attractive(Not model quality though!) and about an average weight. Blah blah blah... have I bored you yet? Sorry. Before we start this journey together I just thought you should at least know a little about me.

I started this whole blog thing to chronicle my search for what seems unobtainable to so many: A SC2 beta key. Sure, desperate cry for help, I know.. it's pathetic. But let me start from the top.

I've been out of town for the past two weeks visiting some family in Michigan, which means no internet... in fact, no computer at all. So when I got home early Sunday morning and jumped on the computer, I was both shocked and excited to see the SC2 closed beta had begun, and invitations had been sent out! Joy! Of course I should have expected the inevitable let down when I pulled up my gmail to see.... no beta.

How simple it would be to simply wait for the next wave of invites to go out. But no, not me. I'm going to scour the INTERWEBS and do my best to come across a beta key... somehow. No, I'm not going to take the easy way out and Ebay one... Because let's face it... college + no Mommy and Daddy monies to leech off = not much left to waste. Unless I wanted to eat ramen for the next two years of my life like everyone else. **** that. I love real food and steak is one of my greatest joys outside of the computer.... Yeah, it's pathetic. Hey, what do you expect from a blog like this?

Anyway....

I'm going to post frequent updates and include every step of my journey to find this elusive beta key. Who knows how it will end? Maybe some kind soul will come across this blog, take pity on me and bring a little light into my dark life. If not, maybe I'll get lucky and find someone who just happens to be giving one away. Maybe I'll just waste a whole lot of time then we can all get a good laugh in a few weeks when I get an invite in the next wave. Maybe I'm just really bored and want to try something new. Who knows?
