Join the Collegiate Starleague – all the cool kids are doing it!

The Collegiate Starleague, CSL, caused a lot of havoc last winter and spring when an entirely new chapter in foreign Starcraft was written by students from around the US and the world. Never before has foreign Starcraft been played in such a way or, I dare suggest, on such a large scale - as no less than 25 colleges were registered during season 1. The seed to something truly epic and OGN-like was sown, and now it's time to nurture that gosu little plant into a tree - by joining season 2 and kick some Terran-ass for the glory of your dorm and college! But first, there's an All Star Match - Proleague has come to town, in a manner of speaking!

Those of you who are familiar with foreign amateur SC will recognize some of the names, though it's otherwise safe to say that the eight guys listed below are the very best Starcraft-players who partook in CSL season 1, and even though their skill is not on the same level as Koreans, they do bring down the house. Sometimes, as was proven, by unorthodox moves such as all-in mid-game probe rushes, but usually with serious skill. The CSL has brought tons of enjoyable games, replays and commentated VODs so far - and the future will get even brighter. To start things off, the All Star Match goes down on September 5th, 2009, 8PM EST. The action will be covered by the finest starcasters of both SC2GG and Teamliquid - namely the CholeraSC & Day[9] combo! Here are the match-ups:
joLin (Z) v Tifa (P) - Ride of the Valkyries
clazziquai (T) v Freaky (Z) - Athena II
gt.roo (P) v Nesh (T) - Shades of Twilight
ToT)yosh( (T) v StRyKeR (Z) God's Garden
ACE: Outsider
Stay tuned for more info, share your CSL season 1-memories, watch the awesome game below to dig what I'm talking about and MAKE SURE to tune in to the live stream on the 5th of September. GG, folks!
